I am a big fan of pinterest! Finding that website has changed so much of my life. It sounds silly to say something like that but it has. I utilized it to find ideas when I was planning my wedding and boy did it make planning easier. I've used it to decorate my house, cook some delicious meals, find some great date and activity ideas. My nieces have loved some of the things we've done from that website. But most importantly, I've used it to boost my own creativity and to find and admire the creativity of others . If you guys have not checked it out yet, I would strongly advise you to. Here's the link

Slacker
As I look at my friends' blogs and the amazing jobs they do with them. I cannot help but feel like a slacker. Not that I only experience negative emotions when I visit their blogs :-) I also feel inspired. And more motivated to do better with my own blog. I guess I am still wary about the kind of information to put and so I don't put anything at all. My goal for this month is to write at least one more time in this blog before the month is over. Baby steps, right?

New Place
It has been strange but wonderful living in our new place. It's just me living there for now and then Darian will move in once we are married in August. It's so strange decorating our place, but making sure for both of us to make decisions about how we want it. I am so used to just making these decisions by myself. It's definitely a growing experience. But I like it so much more when I look around and realize that we were decorating our FIRST home together. This is the beginning of a journey that I am excited to travel!

What's new
I'm getting married! His name is Darian and he is absolutely one of the kindest, funniest, loving, gentle, and most amazing man that I have ever met. I feel extremely lucky. Planning is insane since my wedding is in August. But, as I've been adviced a lot lately, I am trying to enjoy the journey. And boy, what a journey!

Gratitude
I sometimes forget how great life is. I take advantage of my health, education, career, family, and friends. I sometimes feel that we dwell too much on the negative things we have experienced; on the things that we do not have; on the things that people have said to us. The one bad thing we experience in one day overwhelmes all the great things we experienced that whole week. I am amazingly grateful for those moments when I am reminded in one way or another that life is good. It is a gift to enjoy. It is the kind of gift that only gets better with re gifting. When I meet or hear of people who have suffered things that I cannot even imagine, and yet remain hopeful, upbeat, loving, kind, giving, and energetic, I am humbled.
"I complained that I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet." -- Persian proverb
"No individual has any right to come into the world and go out of it without leaving behind him distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it." -- George Washington Carver
"Each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope and, crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." -- Robert F. Kennedy
